Hello 1st Grade

Afton is ready for the first day of school.

Now he gets to attend all day and even eat lunch there.

First Haircut

Michal just got her hair cut for the first time.

She was a little nervous, but it went great.

Skate Park

Afton likes to do everything his cousin Easton does. Now they are into skateboards.

We took the kids to a skatepark in Gig Harbor - very cool.

They felt a lot more comfortable on scooters.

Pokemon Birthday

I created a Pikachu cake for Afton's birthday.

Afton and Michal were excited to design their own mini cakes.

At the party, we had kids decorate poke balls.

Wyatt had a good time.

Our boy successfully turned 7!

The Ellis family came to see us this summer. We had so much fun...

The Fountain Park

We've been hearing all about the new fountain park in Bremerton.

Today was our day to go.

Riding the foot ferry. We're almost there.

Every couple of minutes brings another SSPPRRAAYY!!

Fun in the sun and a stop at Coldstone Creamery... time to head home.

Davy Crockett Night

Papa and Grammy recently visited the Alamo, Billy the Kid's grave,

and Mesa Verde (ruins of ancient cliff dwellers).

We got to hear all about it.

Our friends, the Bishops moved away at the end of the summer.

We got to see them one last time at Manchester State Park.

Rock-n-Roll Marathon

Finished!

I ran part of the race with my friend Lacy and most of it with my sister-in-law Maria. What a great day. I was able to knock 33 minutes off of my last marathon. The weather in Seattle was too perfect, the race was coordinated really well, and we even saw a bald eagle on the route.

Chad ran the half marathon while the kids hung out with Aunt Becky.

Even Wyatt managed to make it through the long day.

Nana's Visit

Nana just spent 2 weeks with us. We had awesome weather, great food, and lots of fun. Afton is preparing for his first kindergarten field trip. Michal is always excited about being a princess. Wyatt is growing like crazy. Chad is looking forward to summer break. And I'm preparing for the Seattle Rock-n-Roll Marathon. God is good.
